Workplace Safety Walk 2016

UnionsACT Keep the spotlight on workplace safety with inaugural Work Safety Awareness Walk

On Sunday 28 August from 10am – 12pm, UnionsACT will host the inaugural Work Safety Awareness Walk in support of workplace safety in the ACT.

Participants can register for free to walk Lake Burley Griffin with friends, family and pets to show their support for this extremely important cause.

The walk will leave from the National Workers Memorial in Parkes, with Mick Gentleman, MLA for Brindabella and Greg Jones, Workplace Safety Commissioner to speak at the commencement of the walk.

After the walk, there will be a BBQ, entertainment and activities for families to enjoy.

Showing support by attending the Work Safety Awareness Walk enforces that Canberrans understand the importance of getting everyone home safely to their families after an honest days work.”
