Snap Medicare Rally

On 6-7 August 1974 Labor succeeded in revolutionising the way we do health care in Australia with the introduction of Medicare. 

The 40th Anniversary of the passage of the Health Insurance Commission Bill is a landmark in the history of healthcare and the Parliament.

May Day 2014

UnionsACT was host this year’s Annual May Day Toast on Thursday, 1st May at the Woden Tradies Club.The event was run from 5.30pm to 7.30pm with guest speaker, Senator Doug Cameron.The Annual May Day Award has been presented to union members who have made a significant contribution to the union movement.

UnionsACT acknowledges that it works on the land of the Ngunnawal people, and we pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging.
